There’s a simple reason I do what I do. I’ve been where you are. I’ve built and led teams across corporate and for-purpose organisations. Like you, I’ve wrestled with how to empower people and manage processes to deliver projects and meet KPIs.
I have a diverse professional background that more recently includes time as Chief Business Development Officer and Acting Executive Officer of World Vision Australia. I’ve established social enterprises from scratch and worked in corporate social responsibility. I learned early on that my role as a leader was to release people with technical expertise to bring solutions; creating the right environment for success and growth.
When we focus solely on outcomes in terms of product or service delivery, we rarely get the best from our people. Let’s face it - if success was guaranteed by only considering the bottom line, there would be no need for my services as a coach!
There are keys to leading well and getting the most from your team, and it’s not about your technical expertise. It’s about learning to value people, manage processes and build relationships. When we do that, we free others to bring their best to our organisations.
I draw on a range of proven models and frameworks as well as my own experience to facilitate a solution-based approach to coaching.
I’m a certified coach with the International Coach Federation (ICF) and a graduate of the Intensive Management Program at Melbourne Business School (Melbourne University). I have a BA, Social Science, Sociology (La Trobe University) plus a Grad. Dip in Adolescent Health (Melbourne University).
LIFE BEYOND COACHING
When I’m not helping clients uncover the gold that resides in them and their teams, I can be found spending time with my family and socialising with our neighbours and friends. There’s nothing I enjoy more than being in the company of others, be it sharing a meal, going to the footy or building a bonfire.
I specialise in working with leaders and teams to find solutions. I provide a safe, confidential space for them to stop, think and reframe the challenges and opportunities they encounter daily. I have coached clients from Aurecon, Ausnet, Broadspectrum, Fisher & Paykel Healthcare, Grant Thornton, John Holland, Pitcher Partners, Salvos Stores, University of Tasmania, MyState and Thomas Foods International Fresh Produce.
Leaders I work with are the subject matter experts in their field. My job is to help them process, clarify and discover the best way forward for them, their team and organisation.
If this sounds like you, let’s talk.
